Contender is bred from the influential dam Gofine who produced 7 international showjumpers. Her daughter Goldküste was not in sports but could pass her genetic potential. That she has done effectively as the dam of the jumpers Passionata and Cocett and as granddam of the stallions Capanos and Checkandino. Via the dam Wira and the sire Levison she is also the granddam to this unique foal Levato EB Z. The Contender group is also at the base of Loreen (S.Mcintosch) and Caliskan (C.King).
