Proven performers: Flanders references impress

June was hot, and not just the weather. Horses sold in the Flanders Foal and Embryo Auction made headlines across Europe and the United States. 

• Leonie Peeters and the powerful Kameroen EB Z (Kannan, 2014) rode to 9th place at 1.55m level, earning €3.165 in Opglabbeek (BEL). 
• Mark McAuley was on fire with Rossi vd Heffinck (Diamant de Semilly, 2017, seen in the photo): 2nd and 5th place finishes at 1.45m in Gorla Minore (ITA), bringing in over €8.000.
• Arthur Deuquet and Only One vd Fruitkorf (Andiamo, 2014) cashed in nearly €1.800 over two days at 1.40m and 1.45m in Pernay (FRA).
• Jared Petersen and Kawir MS (Comme Il Faut, 2016) competed in Ocala (USA) 1.45m level, taking 12th place and earning €868.
• Axel Vandoorne placed with Gaudi de Hus (Toulon, 2016) in Lier (BEL) at 1.45m level.
• Janelle Larsson guided Paulette van Overis (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve, 2015) to a flawless 1st place at 1.40m level in Samorin (SK).
• Bart Lips and Ding Dong van Overis Z (Diamant de Semilly, 2015) secured a strong 4th place at 1.40m level in Lichtenvoorde (NED).
• Lauren Adams and the elegant Quina DW (Glock’s Johnson, 2016) jumped into 9th place at 1.40m level in Zuidwolde.
• Hermano Assis Marin rode Apple Jack DB Z (Aganix du Seigneur, 2017) to victory at 1.35m level in Opglabbeek (BEL), then followed up with a 2nd place at 1.30m.
• Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Cosinus LVP Z (Corico Z, 2017) claimed 2nd place at 1.30m level in Breitenburg (GER).
• Diana Piera Salamero and Otis la Vida Z (Ogano Sitte, 2018) capped the month with a win at 1.30m  level in Fontainebleau (FRA)
