Flanders Foal & Embryo references shine in July

The month of July was packed with international sport results, with numerous Flanders Foal & Embryo references stepping into the spotlight. From young talents to horses already performing at the highest level: these breeding products once again proved their quality across the board. Here’s a look at some of the standout performances.

Strong results at the start of July
On July 2, Only One van de Fruitkorf (2014, Andiamo) set the tone right away with a 3rd place in Royan (1.30m, €600) under the saddle of Arthur Deuquet. That same day, Croueswan EB Z (2014, Canturano I) secured a top-10 finish in the CCI3* Eventing at Aston le Walls with Rafael Mamprin Losano.

Just a day later, Georgia Z (2016, George Z) impressed with a 2nd place in Vichy (1.30m) with Jean Xhemal. Paulette van Overis Z (2015, Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) and Kameroen EB Z (2014, Kannan) also stood out, finishing 7th in Bonheiden (1.40m) and 8th in Bolesworth (1.50m), respectively.

In Monte Carlo, Naf Naf DMC (2013, Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) caught the eye with two strong results on consecutive days: 6th in the 1.55m and again 6th in the 1.50m, each time with Kendra Claricia Brinkop.

Young talents on the rise
The younger references also showed their class. Clair Z (2018, Cornet Obolensky) jumped to 3rd place in Bonheiden (1.35m) with Zara Poels, while Otis la Vida Z (2018, Ogano Sitte) went one better, claiming victory in Chantilly (1.30m) with Diana Piera Salamero.

Cantalito GK Z* (2018, Canturano I) also caught attention in Opglabbeek with a top-10 finish, while Cosinus LVP Z (2017, Corico Z) closed the month on a high, securing 7th place in the 1.40m with none other than Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in the saddle.

Belgian successes
Belgian riders repeatedly delivered strong performances in July. Kameroen EB Z, piloted by Leonie Peeters, jumped to 7th place in the 1.50m at Bolesworth (€3,180). Gaudi de Hus (2016, Toulon) confirmed his top form in Lier with a 4th place (1.45m, €2,820) and just a few days later improved to 3rd place, earning €4,500. Axel Vandoorne guided him convincingly in both classes.

Jarsy LVP (2015, Toulon) and Jax LVP (2015, Cornet Obolensky) also earned prizes in Lier, ridden by Mike van Belle and Melissa Laenen respectively.

International stage
Beyond Belgium and France, the Flanders references also shone in other countries. In Italy, Corvette 2000 Z (2017, Comme Il Faut) secured a strong placing in San Giovanni. In the Netherlands, Ding Dong van Overis Z (2015, Diamant de Semilly) continued his consistency with fine results in Ommen and Valkenswaard with Bart Lips. Finally, Quina DW (2016, Glock’s London) confirmed her potential with a fine 9th place in the 1.45m at Millstreet (IRL).

A month full of highlights
July once again proved to be a month full of highlights for the Flanders Foal & Embryo references. With podium finishes both at home and abroad, victories from promising young horses, and strong performances at 1.50m and 1.55m level, these breeding products continue to demonstrate their international value time and again.

Flanders Foal & Embryo referenties blonken ook uit in juli

De maand juli stond bol van de internationale sportresultaten, waarin tal van Flanders Foal & Embryo referenties zich in de kijker reden. Van jonge talenten tot paarden die al op het hoogste niveau meedraaien: de fokproducten bewezen hun kwaliteit over de hele lijn. Een overzicht van enkele opvallende resultaten.

Sterke prestaties begin juli
Op 2 juli zette Only One van de Fruitkorf (2014, Andiamo) meteen de toon met een 3e plaats in Royan (1.30m, €600) onder het zadel van Arthur Deuquet. Diezelfde dag sprong Croueswan EB Z (2014, Canturano I) naar een top-10 notering in het Eventing CCI3* van Aston le Walls met Rafael Mamprin Losano.

Een dag later was het raak voor Georgia Z (2016, George Z), die in Vichy knap 2e werd in het 1.30m met Jean Xhemal. Ook Paulette van Overis Z (2015, Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) en Kameroen EB Z (2014, Kannan) lieten zich opmerken in respectievelijk Bonheiden (7e, 1.40m) en Bolesworth (8e, 1.50m).

Daarnaast liet Cantalito GK Z (2018, Canturano I) zich in Opglabbeek opmerken met een top-10 notering, en ook Cosinus LVP Z (2017, Corico Z) sprong eind juli naar een 7e plaats in het 1.40m, gereden door niemand minder dan Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

Belgische successen
De Belgische ruiters zorgden in juli meermaals voor sterke prestaties. Zo sprong Kameroen EB Z met Leonie Peeters naar een 7e plaats in het 1.50m van Bolesworth (€3.180). Gaudi de Hus (2016, Toulon) bevestigde zijn topvorm in Lier met een 4e plaats (1.45m, €2.820) én enkele dagen later zelfs een 3e plaats goed voor €4.500. Axel Vandoorne stuurde hem in beide rubrieken overtuigend rond.

Ook Jarsy LVP (2015, Toulon) en Jax LVP (2015, Cornet Obolensky) wisten zich in Lier in de prijzen te rijden met respectievelijk Mike van Belle en Melissa Laenen.

Internationale top
Naast België en Frankrijk kwamen de Flanders-referenties ook in andere landen sterk voor de dag. In Italië sprong Corvette 2000 Z (2017, Comme Il Faut) naar een topklassering in San Giovanni. In Nederland zette Ding Dong van Overis Z (2015, Diamant de Semilly) zijn regelmaat verder met knappe resultaten in Ommen en Valkenswaard onder Bart Lips. Tot slot bevestigde Quina DW (2016, Glock’s London) haar potentieel met een mooie 9e plaats in het 1.45m van Millstreet (IRL).

Maand vol hoogtepunten 
Juli was opnieuw een maand vol hoogtepunten voor de Flanders Foal & Embryo referenties. Met podiumplaatsen in binnen- en buitenland, zeges van jonge paarden en sterke prestaties op 1.50m- en 1.55m-niveau, bewijzen deze fokproducten keer op keer hun internationale waarde.
