95,000 euros for embryo's in Horse Auction Belgium

The showjumping horse and embryo auction Horse Auction Belgium broke its record this Saturday before a packed VIP lounge at Sentower Park. 

The 25 showjumping horses born in 2014 and 2015 together went for 540,500 euro, which makes an average price of 21,620 euro. Price highlight was Prado van het Genelaar (Cardento) for 46,000 euros.

The six embryo’s, provided by Flanders Foal Auction, were sold for a total of 95,000 euro. The embryo from Heartbreaker out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Pernot (by Burggraaf) was sold via Luk Van Puymbroeck by telephone to Switzerland for 24,000 euro. 
 
For Heartbreaker fans: The Flanders Foal Auction will auction another embryo by Heartbreaker in Sharjah (UAE) on February 9th. Telephone bidding is possible!
 
The embryo from Comme il Faut out of Elite de Muze (by Malito de Reves), a direct daughter of the top mare Walnut de Muze, was sold for 19,000 euros.
 
Gerald Lenaerts, who organizes the Flanders Foal Auctions together with Luk Van Puymbroeck, received 15,000 euros for the self-bred embryo by Vigo d'Arsouilles out of the international 1.45m jumping Pronto van Overis Z (Pablo van Berkenbroek).
 
Sold for 13,000 euro was the Bamako de Muze out of Mercedes van 't Zorgvliet (Clinton), who is closely related to the GP-showjumping horse For Joy van' t Zorgvliet. Two embryo's were sold for 12,000 euros: the Halifax van de Kluizebos x Horion de Libersart with a great-granddam at 1.60m GP level, and the Emerald x Presley Boy out of the damline of Hardrock Z.
